Tale Of Earth Angel
Earth Angel was born in 2020, during a period of global stillness that invited reflection, listening, and a return to what truly matters. As the world slowed down, space opened for reconnection with nature, with craft, and with more intentional ways of living.
Rooted in the natural beauty of Barbados and inspired by the vibrant colours of the Caribbean, Earth Angel emerged through an exploration of natural dyeing. Using materials found in the kitchen and gardens, turmeric, avocado seeds, onion skins, tropical leaves, fabrics were transformed through simple, time-honoured processes. Each colour revealed itself slowly, shaped by nature rather than controlled by speed.
Working with natural dyes became a practice of patience and presence, bringing to light how grounding and healing it can be to create in rhythm with the Earth. Through this process, deeper questions surfaced?
why has modern fashion become so disconnected from the body, from the hands that make our clothing, and from the land that provides the materials?
Earth Angel exists as a response to these questions. The brand is devoted to returning to ancestral methods of making, working exclusively with natural fibres, and embracing slow, intentional creation.
